Organisation - Props

Here, I have researched into the use of props and how they can benefit the overall vibe that is given off from your magazine, After looking into the props most prominently used within indie pop magazines I have found that these props are the most likely I will want to use;

The use of a guitar as a prop would be beneficial towards the look of my magazine as the cover star holding or being near a guitar could reveal how determined and how focused they are on their music, which will appeal to the target audience who care more about the quality of music and not the appearance of the star
 The use of a cigarette as a prop could be beneficial as it implies a sense of rebellion and defiant artists of this genre are since the indie pop genre is mainly dominated by the younger generations to which smoking would be frowned upon and so appeals to people within the target demographic who refuse to conform to societies rules.
The use of this particular prop could be effective in reflecting the ethos I want for my magazine and will also immediately reveal what style or brand of music I am going for. The use of sunglasses for my model could imply a laid back cool and slightly edgy look to my model since sunglasses connote with large music icons such as Mcjagger who is a music artist known for going against the norm of music and stretching the boundaries of what music artists were expected to do, which appealed to many people since the artist came across as very bold and baring which in turn will therefore create a daring aesthetic for the artist as well as the magazine, which I particularly want.
